I'm an out-of-network therapist, meaning I don't directly accept insurance. Before starting therapy I recommend contacting your insurance company to inquire about your mental health coverage, as deductibles and reimbursement rates vary depending on the type of plan you have.
Some questions to consider asking your insurance company to better understand your benefits:
Does my health insurance plan include out-of-network mental health benefits?
Do I have a deductible? If yes, what is it and have I met it yet?
Once I have met my deductible, what can I expect to be reimbursed for out-of-network sessions?
If you have out-of-network benefits and choose to use them, I can provide you with a superbill (a receipt) to submit to your insurance company. Any partial reimbursement of the session fee is sent directly to you.

My fee for a 50 minute individual session is $200 and $250 for multi-person sessions.
I also offer extended 75 or 90 minute sessions. Please ask me about this option if you’re interested in meeting for a longer period of time.
The fee is due at the end of each session and processed using a secure payment platform. I accept all major credit and debit cards. You can also use your FSA or HSA card if psychotherapy sessions are covered.

I value accessibility and reserve a portion of my practice for clients in need of a reduced fee. If you are unable to afford my full session fee we can discuss your financial situation during our consultation call.

I typically meet with clients on a weekly basis and find this frequency to be especially beneficial when beginning therapy. This type of consistency provides you with a regular space to process thoughts and feelings that come up in between sessions, gives us the opportunity to build trust and safety in the relationship, and helps with maintaining momentum. I also offer twice weekly sessions for those looking to meet more regularly.
Other clients find bi-weekly sessions to be their preferred frequency after they make progress towards their goals for therapy.
We can regularly discuss your needs and what frequency of sessions feels the most supportive and beneficial.

Therapy can be either short or long term, depending on what your personal goals are and what we're focusing on. I’ve worked with clients who feel better after briefly working together, while others attend therapy for multiple years, finding they benefit from having a regular space for exploration.
I’ll regularly check in with you to talk about the progress you’re making in therapy and to get feedback about your experience.
-
If you’re unable to attend a session, I ask for at least 24 hours notice. If your appointment is not cancelled or rescheduled within this time frame you'll be responsible for the session fee.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
